MAR receives Innovation Award from USPS

Baltimore, MD, May 24, 2017 – MAR has been selected as the Shipping/eCommerce Innovation Award winner for the Great Lakes Area by the United States Postal Service. Scott Roever & Rick Roever from MAR were presented with the award by the Postmaster General, Megan Brennan, at the National Postal Forum in Baltimore.

MAR received the award for a complex project they produce and manage that includes U.V. offset print, flexo-print elements, multiple security features, digital imaging, weekly fulfillment and distribution via USPS Priority Mail. Converting the project to Priority Mail distribution allowed the client traceability on every item while still being cost-effective.

“We are honored to be selected for this award. This means a lot to us and our team leader, Brian Coats,” stated Rick Roever, President. “Over the life of this project we have produced, imaged and distributed hundreds of thousands of pieces with no quality or distribution complaints. MAR Graphics increases lettershop capacity

 

Valmeyer, IL, July 15th, 2016 – MAR Graphics has just completed the addition of a Pitney Bowes FlowMaster RS Flex inserting system.

MAR Graphics utilizes the inserting system to produce a wide variety of mail projects. The 6 station system is configured with in-line cameras and an inkjet station for matching & read/write capability. It also features an additional camera for output verification.

“As the complexity of mail projects has increased, our clients needed the capability that comes with camera matching.” stated Scott Roever, Comptroller and Co-Owner of MAR Graphics. “Knowing that each piece has been successfully processed, imaged and inserted gives our clients the peace of mind that comes with the ability to provide output verification. It also allows us to provide multi-piece matching and read/write inkjet imaging.”

In addition, MAR Graphics operates UV half-web presses from 6 to 10 colors, several UV forms web presses, flexo print and ink-jet systems, multiple color and B/W digital print systems, web-finishing lines, and a full service lettershop.

MAR Graphics adds digital print system

Valmeyer, IL, March 28th, 2016 – MAR Graphics recently completed the installation of a Ricoh InfoPrint 4100 Printing System.

 

MAR Graphics uses the roll-fed B/W imaging system to produce a wide variety of mail, trans-promo and other print projects. The system is configured as a twin-engine production line for faster throughput of duplex imaged pieces. It features a wider print area and can image a wide range of media.

MAR Graphics increases color digital print capacity

Valmeyer, IL, Jan. 27, 2015 – MAR Graphics recently completed the installation of a Ricoh Pro C9110 Digital Press.

 

MAR Graphics utilizes the press to quickly and cost-effectively produce full color direct-mail pieces, on-demand print projects and other print collateral for clients. The press is equipped with a large sheet size that allows print up to 13” x 27.5”.

 

“This new digital press is a great complement to our existing fleet of digital and offset equipment. MAR Graphics increases offset print capacity

Valmeyer, IL, Oct. 1, 2015 –  MAR Graphics recently completed the installation of a 5-color RDP Marathon U.V. web press.

 

MAR Graphics utilizes the press to quickly and cost-effectively produce direct-mail pieces, jumbo rolls and other print pieces. The press is equipped with inter-station UV dryers, a jumbo roll rewind and a continuous fan-folding device for direct mail and other transactional document applications.

MAR Graphics recently completed the installation of a Xerox iGen4-26”, and is the first to take advantage of the color precision and speed of the new Xerox Color 8250 Production Printer. Capitalizing on the growth in variable data and digital color printing, MAR upgraded their fleet of color digital print engines to two new, full color devices.

MAR Graphics utilizes the larger 14.33” x 26” sheet size of the iGen4-26” to more efficiently serve their clients in the direct mail and commercial print markets. The iGen4-26” also features matte toner and an in-line booklet-maker. MAR Graphics uses the 8250 to quickly and cost-effectively produce transactional business documents and direct-mail pieces with spot-on color.

“We generate a high volume of direct mail and transactional statements that previously utilized a variety of highlight colors. With the 8250 we have the flexibility to reproduce any color our customers require,” said Scott Roever, VP & Comptroller, MAR Graphics. “Business color printing is a critical component of our operation. With the 8250 we can deliver color accuracy and do so competitively.”

In addition to the iGen4-26” & 8250, MAR Graphics operates multiple B/W devices, UV half-web presses, UV forms web presses, flexo and ink-jet systems, web-finishing lines, lettershop and bindery equipment.

MAR Graphics Installs Color Inkjet System

MAR Graphics has just completed the installation of a Memjet / SuperWeb Digital color inkjet system.  The full color system is capable of laying down ink at speeds of up to 160 feet per minute and up to a 1600 x 1200 dpi resolution.  This piece of equipment allows MAR to produce fully variable color images on a web based system and is currently integrated into a 6 color flexo press.

Color inkjet systems are projected to be responsible for producing 30% of all digital color print within the next 2 years.  This particular inkjet system is MAR’s 4th installation of inkjet technology in the past 4 years, though this is the first full-color inkjet system installation in the facility.

MAR Graphics Installs Intelligent Inserter

MAR Graphics announces the installation of a Bell & Howell inserting line.  This new line brings to MAR the ability to produce match mailings as well as variable piece inserts by utilizing an accumulator and intelligent camera system.   With this system, MAR is offering a service that uniquely complements the digital imaging capabilities already under roof, including digital laser color and black and white print, as well as the most recent addition of color inkjet technology to the facility.
